Minimum salary of RM 1,500 is a challenge itself for Aspataki
Jakarta - One of the most important points in the Indonesia-Malaysia MoU is about the minimum salary that should be mentioned in each Employment Contract at a minimum of RM1500.
Such minimum salary requirement of at least RM1500 for domestic worker will be a challenge itself for Aspataki members.
Saiful, as Chairperson of Aspataki stated that increasing skills and competencies for domestic workers to help each of them who will work for her employer as a negotiation tool.
"I believe that almost all of Aspataki members have qualified training centers (BLKLN/LPK), have sufficient experiences in training migrant workers candidates to placement nations such as Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong," said Saiful.
According to Saiful, with a fairly better standard on salary, it is hoped that there will be more demand in seeking employment to Malaysia, especially with an all employer paid expenses or so called “zero cost”.
